Timeout For a Photo Session

Seals, like sea lions, are typically docile, curious, and playful marine mammals. They are members of the same order as walruses and other marine mammals known as pinnipeds. Keeping their energy levels up, having babies, feeding their young, and digesting their food requires seals to spend a lot of time on land.

It seems like this one got out of the water to hang out with the thrilled human in the photo. Seeing seals in their natural habitat is a magical experience for everyone who appreciates marine life, but we must remember that we are merely guests in their homes.
